Long Post Coming…
It’s with great sadness, I announce the closure of Petals & Co. I’ve been putting this post off for a while now, whilst I adjusted to my new life. It’s been a roller coaster of a journey with some downs but plenty of ups! Its been an amazing opportunity and learning curve for my self. This business has been my second baby really🥹!
So you may be wondering why? Etsy has always been my main selling platform, the one which allowed me to go full time successfully. However they no longer allow the category of children’s pyjamas on their platform. And due to my shop being a well established one, I have been one of the first to have a huge amount of listings removed and then forced to close down completely when challenging this decision! Of course, I have looked into varies other options but to get to where I was takes a lot of hard work and time, time that I dont have in this economy crisis.
That being said, due to the costs of insurance and product safety testing in order to run Petals & Co by the law, its not financially possible to earn through going part time and plodding along either.
However, on the plus side (yes there is a plus side to all this!) I have been overwhelmed with the support and orders I have taken over on my newly opened business Aired Events. And as they say “when one door closers, another one opens” and this has certainly been the case! I can now focus and grow this business in my own time and around my family. I will also be keeping my machine so I can still offer services to my regular customers for uniform orders ect, so please dont panic guys!
