Whoever originally said “time flies” needs a reality check from the mothers of all toddlers.

Time does not ‘fly’ … it basically calls in for a cuppa, says hi, then disappears.

One second you have a 2 year old, wait… blink, nope, you’re buying uniforms for primary school, purchasing nursery graduation photos and frantically searching for a card to say thank you to all those amazing people who have cared for your child.

I still can’t believe my Eoin starts primary school in September. I found out I had bowel cancer the day he was born and I honestly didn’t expect to be around to see his first birthday, let alone watch him turn into the hilarious, kindhearted, wonderful boy he is.

I will never take any time with him for granted, even if it does seem to disappear in the blink of an eye.

Can’t help you with the uniforms or graduation pics… but I designed a card for Eo to give to the lovely ladies at his nursery (with his help, of course!) and added it to my Etsy shop, along with a few others.

All wording can be changed to suit your personalisation needs. The ‘teacher’ ones have been changed to Key Worker, Classroom Assistant and numerous others.

Happy Tuesday! What are your plans for today? I’ll mostly be doing anything to avoid listing the bunch of Mother’s Day cards that are piling up beside me. Is there honestly anything more tedious than listing? 🥱⁣

This little bear’s off nursery today with a nasty cough that kept us all awake through the night. 🐻😴 ⁣

Doesn’t seem to be affecting his spirits much though. He’s been helping me pack orders, and had the very important task of putting labels on all the parcels! 😂 ⁣

The coffee machine’s been on overtime this morning, and now we’re cuddling up under a stack of crocheted blankets watching Happy Feet 🐧 Fingers crossed for a better night’s sleep tonight! 💙⁣

Inspired by the fact I’m currently planning my own wedding (yay and yikes in equal measures! ❤️😳) I’ve happily been adding new designs to the Wedding Card section in my shop. ⁣

This first design features a heart edged frame, cut from white pearlised glitter card. It has two pretty horseshoes in the corner and can be personalised with any sentiment. Embellished with silver gems, flowers, 3D hearts and a little butterfly, it’s available in two different sizes. ⁣

So, yesterday I sent out my 50th order of this Christmas card!🎄

Of all the cards in my Etsy shop, currents ones and retired, this one has gradually become so special to me. ❤️

I’ve made SO many variations of it… daughter & fiancé, son & girlfriend, brother & sister-in-law, daughter & son-in-law… small versions, large version… every single one handmade with all my love.

That’s 150 gold snowflakes I’ve cut and applied. And 400 sparkly gold gems. I feel I could make this card in my sleep now! 😂 I can’t quite wrap my head around the fact that something I designed back in October will be displayed in fifty different houses across the UK this Christmas.

It’s a proud moment for me. A very proud moment. Perhaps fifty doesn’t sound that many to anyone else. And in the grand scheme of things, maybe it isn’t. But to me it’s a milestone. It’s encouraging. It’s exhilarating. And it makes all the hard work, the stress, the remaking a card 3 or 4 times because I’m not 100% happy with it, the ridiculously late nights… it makes everything I’ve done since opening in January all worth it. 💖

Thank you to every single person who’s ordered a card from me this year. Thank you for the lovely reviews. Thank you for supporting my little business and for helping to keep my dream alive.

I’ve been lighting my Christmas scented candles while I make cards lately, but I’ve not been tempted (yet!) to put on any Xmas tunes. ⁣

Good morning!
