My Story Part 2
π Mystery boxes π
When I started The Spinneyfield Stitchery my whole intention and vision was based around these boxes. It still is. But it's not been a direct line to get there.
Like I said before I needed capital and sold small kits of designs I'd made myself. Sometimes these designs featured in the boxes, sometimes not. I have grown to the point I don't really have the time these days so they don't. In fact I've not done any designing in over a year. And there's also a spot of imposter syndrome!
So far I've done 3 Christmas boxes π, a winter one βοΈ, a bee theme π, a motivational one πͺ, a spring one to name a few off the top of my head. I've loved every single one. When I started I only offered 10 for sale, but each time I built up my confidence, my customer base and my spending power π΅! I'm no hot shot, I don't have a warehouse, I don't have staff but I'm me, The Spinneyfield Stitcheryπ§΅
Since 2019, I've met so many lovely designers and makers and customers and this just fills my little heart right up β₯οΈ. I've also met a few not so lovely people, and that plays on my mind, and can destroy small business owners π if they let it get to them. I'm trying my hardest not to. There's also the chancers who want a freebie in turn for them giving you 'exposure'. π No thankyou - that doesn't pay my taxes or my bills π
So now I'm so many boxes in and over 2 years down the line I've had to think outside the box so to speak π for new and exciting content that I've not done before. There's been... Scissor fobs, thread sorters, bobbin holders, ribbon, hoops, thread conditioner, hand dyed thread, hand dyed fabric, dmc thread, variegated thread, full kits, pin badges, needleminders, project bags, pattern markers, all sorts. WHAT ON EARTH SHOULD I DO NEXT?!
So if you've got this far, tell me what I should offer next...
