❤️ LET’S SHOW THEM THEY ARE NOT ALONE ❤️

As many of you may have seen, a young man and his little sister in East Herringthorpe have tragically lost their mum — the only parent they had and relied upon. 💔

Their loss was completely unexpected, and they are now facing a heartbreaking situation that no family should ever have to go through. The little girl is just 9 years old, and her older brother is now facing the responsibility of caring for his younger sister while trying to continue providing for them both.

At Chance, we believe that community is everything, especially during the hardest of times. ❤️

We are putting together two hampers — one for the little girl and one for her brother — to remind them that they are thought of, cared for and, most importantly, not alone.

💗 EMERGENCY APPEAL 💗

Today we are asking our amazing community to come together and help a young mum and her little daughter who urgently need our support.

We have been contacted regarding a young mother who has bravely escaped a domestic violence relationship to protect herself and her child. They have been placed in a mother and baby unit and have had to leave everything behind. She arrived with nothing but the clothes on her back and what she could fit into her pram.

Thankfully, staff are helping with food, milk, nappies and other immediate essentials, but she is still in desperate need of clothing and other basic items to help her begin rebuilding her life.

We are urgently looking for:
🩷 Women’s clothing (XS/S)
🩷 Women’s shoes (Size 5/6 – men’s shoes are also welcome if suitable)
🩷 Baby girl’s clothing (12–18 months)
🩷 Baby essentials in good condition

No one should have to start over with nothing. Every donated item, no matter how small, will help give this young mum and her daughter comfort, dignity and hope as they begin a safer future together.
