June is the month that we will be raising money for Bowel Cancer. Many of you have heard of a lovely lady called Dame Deborah James, also known as Bowelbabe, she was diagnosed with Bowel cancer at the young age of 35. She was a tireless campaigner and fundraiser, sharing her story with absolute honesty and tackling taboos - including encouraging everyone to 'CHECK THEIR POO'

Sadly Deborah died but not before raising £7m in total - £250k of that was in one single day as a final 'F*** YOU to Cancer!!

She has left being a lasting legacy and raised so much awareness on how important it is to
'Check your poo!' 💜

As many of you know our very own Anne Forrester from The Grapes Bar was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer late last year - Anne had no symptoms to indicate this was the case. Luckily she turned 50 and recieved a FIT kit through the post which she done and sent away. Soon came the diagnosis, stress, worry & all the emotions. Anne had an amazing team of Dr's & nurses working hard to get all her tests done as quickly as possible and into the operating room. When Anne woke up after many hours, she got the amazing news that they had managed to remove all the Cancer and she would now only need very regular check-ups.

If Anne had decided to throw the kit away, she may not have been so fortunate.
It is absolutely vital that when you receive these kits, you do it!! It may be a little embarrassing to some but it might just save your life!!!!!

In aid of this - we are doing a Charity Bingo day and the Grapes Bar on the 16th June @ 2pm.

We hope all our new and old custom will come and help support a great cause. Thank you for reading 💜

Hey guys!

We are having a fundraiser on Sunday the 30th July at The Islander Bar

We are looking for anyone else that would be willing to get waxed for sponsorship.

Also darts players to participate in a tournament with a 50/50 split of the entry fee going to the winner & the charity! Remember there are no losers it’s all for charity 😅

If anyones up for this let us know!

There will be food, karaoke, cocktails & more!

(Also open to ideas 🤣)
