🎨 ORIGINAL HAND-PAINTED ARTWORK 🌿

A collection of my original wildlife and nature artwork, individually hand-painted here at Glenmore Arts on the Isle of Bute.

Each piece has been painted onto reclaimed wood or natural slate, allowing the grain, knots, cracks and irregular edges to become part of the finished picture. Every one is signed, sealed and completely unique—there will never be another exactly the same.

The collection includes:

Collection is available from Glenmore Arts, or I’m happy to post within the UK at the buyer’s expense. Postage will be calculated according to the size and weight of the piece.

🌿 HAND-FINISHED ANIMAL ART 🌿

A characterful little collection of wildlife, farm animal and pet pieces, individually created here at Glenmore Arts.

Each design has been carefully decoupaged onto natural slate before being enhanced by hand with paint, colour and texture, then sealed for protection.

The irregular edges and natural markings of the slate make every piece unique—no two will ever have exactly the same character.

The collection includes hares, sheep, alpaca, donkey, horse, pigs, a Highland cow, cats and dogs and many more.

Prices and measurements are available on request

Collection is available from Glenmore Arts on the Isle of Bute. I’m also happy to post within the UK at the buyer’s expense;

🌊 Sea Glass Pendant Workshops — spaces available 🌊

Come and spend a gentle 90 minutes at Glenmore, transforming a beautiful piece of sea glass into your own pendant to take home.

No experience is needed—just come along, slow down and enjoy some relaxed creativity, conversation, tea and cake in the peaceful surroundings of Glenmore. 🌿

Sessions are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, up to and including Thursday 3rd September.

✨ £15 per person
✨ Family of four: £50
✨ Small groups of no more than six
✨ All materials, tea and cake included

This is officially the closest these two have managed so far 😂

The kitten is completely relaxed, while Tabby has chosen a carefully elevated position from which to ignore him. They may not be cuddling yet, but they’re sharing the same fireside space without incident—and we’re calling that progress! 🐾❤️

A peace treaty is slowly being negotiated… entirely on Tabby’s terms, of course. 😹

☀️ A little Glenmore summer round-up… ☀️

This summer has involved:

👧 Grandchildren, lots of love, lots of laughter and the occasional need to lie quietly in a darkened room afterwards.

🎨 Workshops filled with sea glass, creativity, cake and some truly lovely people.

🛍️ Markets—some wonderful, some character-building, and some where I spent more on the pitch than I actually earned. We’ll call those business research.

🦆 Ducklings—adorable, chaotic and determined to test every last one of my nerves! They have all now gone off to lovely new homes, leaving behind slightly less chaos, considerably less mess and one rather relieved duckling midwife.

🍅 Tomatoes—watered, worried over, inspected daily and spoken to more often than some members of my family.

🔨 And the barn! Slowly transforming from a dark, slightly alarming farm building into the warm and welcoming creative space I’ve imagined for so long. There’s still dust, disorder and the odd “what on earth have we started?” moment—but it’s getting there.

There have been busy days, brilliant days, disappointing days and days when I’ve wondered whether hiding amongst the tomatoes might be a viable long-term plan.

But through it all, Glenmore has continued to grow—one workshop, one market and one homemade cake at a time.

Summer at Glenmore: slightly chaotic, frequently muddy, rarely according to plan—but never, ever dull. 💚🌿

Well… here’s my eclipse from Glenmore! 😂🌒

A mysterious silvery glow hiding behind a thick blanket of cloud — perhaps the most Scottish eclipse imaginable.

I may not have seen the sun disappear, but the sky still felt beautifully eerie and magical over the Bute hills. ✨
