What actually goes into flowering a wedding?

The finished flowers are the pretty part you see… but there’s a whole lot that happens before we get there.

It starts months before with consultations, moodboards and planning every detail.

Then, on wedding week…

Your flowers arrive at Bloom — boxes full of carefully chosen stems in your colour palette.

Everything is conditioned by hand — leaves removed, stems trimmed, buckets cleaned and flowers given plenty of time to drink and open beautifully.

Then the creating begins. Bouquets, buttonholes, table flowers, ceremony arrangements and all the little floral details come together.

Everything is carefully packed into the Bloom van (often with some very creative Tetris involved!) and transported to your venue.

And finally… setup. We bring everything together, style the space and make sure every flower is exactly where it should be before you arrive.

Then we get to stand back for a moment and see months of planning become your wedding flowers.

And honestly? That bit never gets old.

Sarah & Danny

Soft pinks, berry tones and an abundance of beautiful seasonal flowers for Sarah & Danny’s gorgeous wedding at Tewinbury Farm

We used a mix of roses, hydrangea, dahlias, delphinium and scabiosa to create a relaxed, romantic feel throughout the day.

Bud vases filled with seasonal blooms lined the aisle for the ceremony before being repurposed across the tables, while a statement floral arrangement created a beautiful focal point for the ceremony and later took pride of place on the top table.

Sarah and her bridesmaids carried loose, garden-inspired bouquets filled with all the flowers from the day, while the groomsmen kept things timeless with simple white rose buttonholes.

Such a beautiful day for the loveliest couple — we absolutely loved bringing this one to life.
