Another one to boost the limited range of models for now, this P-Way Trolley is heavily based on the Wickham Type 27 and has been bulked to make it easier to print. It’s a static model but good for sidings, cameos etc.

It’s on Shapeways right now but I’ve got test prints coming. Eventually it’ll be available to UK buyers via my Etsy page.

Have you wondered where 2A Model Rail have been for the past while or so? It’s been a long time hasn’t it?

I’m ditching 009 and a few other scales to concentrate on TT and OO with a full range of models coming. Give the new page a follow as this one will be closing soon, more details to come…

Some people are probably bored with seeing these two locos now but I’m happy that they’re progressing 😊

I’ve got the chassis for the designs coming so I can tweak it further to make sure they run and work as they should. As both models work well with Hornby and Peco stock, I’ll be later working on a W&U 4 wheel carriage for the J70 to pull.

These kits are both for TT (1/120) but I am happy to offer future models as TT3 (1/101.3) on request.

UK buyers will be able to order directly from me via Etsy. Rest of the world will be able to purchase these via Shapeways to save on the hassle of shipping from the UK.

Please note kits will not come with chassis but instead will be body only.

I know it has been quiet for a while now, and many things have taken over work on making models and files. Firstly a few updates:

The range of models offered will be changing:

As it stands, there will be no more 009 scaled models until further notice. Some models will remain for sale on Shapeways, and other models will be withdrawn and released as non-commercial files over on Thingiverse on my account JohnnySpanners. The same will happen with various other narrow gauge models being sold on Shapeways.

More items will be released for sale in 7mm Scale, 4mm Scale, 2.54mm (TT120) Scale and N Scale. Whilst I will be mainly working around TT 120, various part finished designs will be completed and released for sale.

For example for OO, you will see:

* Plasser & Theurer 08-16 Compact Tamper
* Hawthorn Leslie 0-6-0T
* Andrew Barclay 0-6-0T
* Various items for use in Depots, like the released jack stands to complement the Bachmann lifting jacks.

TT120 will be the main focus of releases, as I hope to produce items from the following list:

* LNER J70 Body - chassis TBC
* LBSC Terrier - chassis TBC
* Caley Pug - chassis custom designed using Farish components
* LMS Jinty - chassis done as Pug

* 4 Wheel Generic Coach (GWR based) - still in design stage

*Conflat Wagon
*Cattle wagon
*GWR Closed Van
*Tank Wagon

Chassis for said wagon is under development using Tillig wheels.

* BR Brake Van - test print on order
* GWR Toad Brake Van
* LMS Brake Van

With the launch of Peco TT to the market, and subsequent support from Gaugemaster and other manufacturers, I am now planning on offering models in this scale too for modellers. I am moving my main modelling to this scale so hope to help others.

Some items will end up on Thingiverse. The wagon chassis for example will be available from Shapeways but you can also download it from Thingiverse (non commercial use only) to design your own wagon bodies to use with it.

More news to come soon but things are happening behind the scenes.

New commission for a OO scale Railmotor based locomotive, taking design cues from pre grouping locos as requested. Although a commission will be available for sale, Dapol Pug or Peckett W4 chassis.

The first planned release for , a freelance Hawthorne Leslie 0-6-0T, is steaming through the CAD stages. Still plenty to do but it's coming along nicely. Still can't say how much it'll be but expect it to be competitively priced...

A LNWR George The Fifth 4-4-0, designed to use a modified Hornby compound chassis. Should also make use of tender wheels.

In amongst other projects this has come back from abandonment.

Project HL will be bringing a Light Railway/Industrial 0-6-0, 0-6-2 and 0-8-0 to 4mm Scale modellers. More coming soon but for now here's a sneak peak of something very much in the early stages...

Now I've given Midlander a light coat of paint, here are some crisp close up photographs of the body sat upon the chassis. It's a tight fit and sits well which is good, so the model is looking good so far. It'll be available on a new relaunched website when ready as Shapeways cannot sell it directly due to tolerances.

Two new locos for the same chassis, both 009 this time around. Talylyn Railway "Midlander" and Groudle Glen Railway "Polar Bear". One is a reworking on an older model (scaled correctly) and the other brand new.
