How do you support your community?

Last week at BNI Webb Ellis - Business Networking in Rugby, we hosted a Visitor Day and invited a fantastic group of local charities and community organisations to join us.

Our goal was simple: to shine a spotlight on the incredible work they’re doing and explore how we can support them further.

Whether that’s through funding, sponsorship, volunteers, or offering practical support like accounting, marketing, or anything in between, we wanted to create a space for these organisations to share what they need, so we can help make a difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us:

Simon Maguire – Rugby Spring Fair
Martin Watts – The Myton Hospices
Noorie Sayani – Deputy Mayor of Rugby
Claire McEnery – Circles Network
Alex Richardson – Air Ambulances UK
Kate Meek – The Friendship Project

And our chapter charity:
Sam Schoolar – Shine A Light Childhood Cancer Support

It was inspiring to hear more about your organisations, the impact you’re making in our community, and the people you support every day.

Here’s to building stronger community connections and finding meaningful ways to help.

Yesterday was a truly special morning at BNI Webb Ellis - Business Networking in Rugby as we welcomed some incredible VIP guests.

It was an honour to have Kimberley Woods, Olympic medallist, and Simon Ward, Councillor for Rugby Borough Council, join us. Moments like this really highlight the power of local business coming together to support local talent, especially when that talent is a Rugby-born Olympian 🇬🇧

Thanks to the generosity of our chapter members, sponsorship has already helped fund Kimberley’s new boat for the upcoming season. Seeing it up close (along with her brilliant bronze Olympic medals!) was a proud moment for everyone in the room.

At Rugby Webb Ellis BNI, we’re passionate about championing our local heroes and playing a small part in their journey to success.

At BNI Webb Ellis - Business Networking in Rugby, collaboration isn’t just something we talk about, it’s how we work. We’re always looking for ways to support each other and, ultimately, deliver a better service to our clients.

This year, we were encouraged to bring banners along to our meetings, a simple but powerful way for visitors and members to quickly understand what we do and who we help.

This particular project was a brilliant example of teamwork done right.

James Hedley from JOH Marketing shaped the messaging.

Tejal Prajapati from Creative brought the design to life.

Malcolm Freeman from Oxygen Elements handled the print and production.

Together, we created a premium double-sided banner for Sean Taylor at Lightweight Mobility & Seating, and he’s absolutely delighted with the result.

One side speaks directly to his B2B audience.
The other targets B2C customers.

Smart, strategic, and versatile.

Not only will it support him at networking meetings, but it’ll also feature on his exhibition stand at his next event. A banner that keeps on giving.

If you’re looking to elevate your presence at networking events and make a stronger first impression, we’ve created a banner package that makes it easy.

Drop me a message if you’d like the details.

Last night, Webb Ellis - Business Networking swapped the meeting room for the bowling lanes and darts board – and what a brilliant Friday night it was! 🎳

For us, networking is about so much more than a weekly meeting. We love mixing things up with monthly socials where we can relax, have a laugh, and really get to know each other beyond the business chat.

Because at the heart of it for us networking is about building real friendships.

Huge thank you to Raj and Michelle Love for organising, another fantastic evening!

Looking forward to the next one!
