Wool Jeanie has now become mobile. The Wrost Wool Jeanie is designed to hold your wool while you standing or on the go. Pop the strap on your wrist and you’re ready to go.

I use a wrist wool holder when I’m in the shop on the rare occasions that I have time to knit/crochet. This is a more sturdy version that won’t get tangled as it has the unique magnet holding it in place that made the Wool Jeanie such a hit that has been copied by many. International cat day at The Little Wool Shop was all about cat coasters!

We had a free workshop for anyone who wanted to have a go at making their first amigurumi project - a cat coaster.

We had a great time. There was a ‘lorra lorra laughs’ and a lot of counting of stitches. Most needed to finish of ears/tails at home with promises of pictures of the completed project.

Steph became the new owner of Spinning Yarns wool shop in February 2025 and enjoys crochet, cross stitch and crafts in general.

Steph enjoys opening the doors each day and being welcomed by the colour of all the yarn and wool. When visiting you will always be welcomed with a smile and a genuine interest in your projects when you visit the shop.

There are three Knit and Natter groups a week and learn to knit and crochet courses are held on a regular basis.

Spinning Yarns sells handmade knitted and crochet items and you’ll find the shop full yarn, wool, accessories, ribbons, buttons, zips, elastic, haberdashery, patterns and much more! You’ll find everything you need under one roof!

Ossett is located in scenic West Yorkshire which is historically in the heavy woollen district which is a region of textile-focused industrial development in West Yorkshire, England. It acquired the name because of the heavyweight cloth manufactured there from the early 19th century.

Ossett boasts a plethora of independent shops and traders for the avid shopper. Combined with the scenic Yorkshire Dales it makes a perfect destination for a day out particularly on Tuesday and Fridays which is when the popular market is held.

♥️♥️♥️ROUND UP OF THE WEEK

This week can be summed up in one word - MENTAL !

Too much spending means too many deliveries and a shop that is creaking at the seams!

I’ve been getting ready for autumn and winter crafting. No missing the boat with stocks this year. Lots of new ranges and lots of stocking up on seasonal items

If you’re looking for Christmas inspiration - I’ve got loads of ideas and gifts to spur you into action . You will be amazed what I’ve got in stock and the best way to find out what I’ve got is to pop in and have a browse. But I’m hoping that you follow the page and have seen the highlights already.

Warning! You will need to make extra time for your visit!

With orders still pending arrival, stock orders still to do and reps visiting with new ranges, range extensions and basically tempting me with new stuff which means that things will be changing about or getting added to for a while 🤪

Normal services will resumed shortly (🤞).

International cat day was busy with a free little craft session making cat coasters. This proved quite popular and I’ll post pictures of finished coasters soon. A few ears/tails to be added at home with promises of pics to be sent.

There’s a lot going on in the background with five more deliveries due. Most are stock replenishments with some new ranges still pending. All I can say is keep watching the page, keep crafting and keep popping in.
