24 different designers for Christmas. These are a great addition to my other Christmas buttons and retail at just 15p so very affordable.

The shop/activities will not be open as planned today.
After 5 minutes it was full of barbque smoke. So I’ve closed and currently trying to get rid it. Apologies for the inconvienience.

♥️♥️♥️ROUND UP OF THE WEEK

Last week was summed up as mental. This week I also sum it up in one word - STICKY.

Having to breakdown, check deliveries and put the stock away has been hot, sticky and exhausting work. I usually get excited when deliveries arrive but not this week.

Again it’s been a week of discoveries with the focus being on new products (again). Just when I think I’m done with new stuff along comes a rep or a catalogue and I’m tempted again 🤣

The new range of kits are going well and once again I’m ordering more in. The top kit has got to be the crochet advent colanders with the trees being the most popular. They are a great project that will make a great annual appearance.

International cat day went well with a full house of ladies creating a cat coaster. Well done ladies we had a great time chatting and crafting.

I am constantly obtaining stock as you all know I hate to see a gap on the shelves and this week has been no exception. If there’s a gap it’s because the stock is out of stock at the stockist. So I will re-order on the next stock order. Rest assured there is still a great choice of yarns, colours, books, patterns and gadgets available to tempt you,

😁😁😁COMPLETED PROJECT😁😁😁

Despite a very busy day I managed to complete my waistcoat. Had to sew up half a seam and add the buttons. It did take all day so apologies for gaps in the shelves as I haven’t re-stocked. It was much more fun finishing off this project. Besides I’m open tomorrow so I’ll do it then.

Made with King Cole Jamboree which I reduced a while back.

I’ve a lovely independant to showcase this week. Say hello Knit2 tog in Reddish in Stockport which is just South of Manchester.

The shop opened originally in 2013 within a large department store situated in the old Broadstone Mill. The mill is still there and has a fabulous clothing department, shoe shop, housewares etc and the most delicious cafes. Knit2tog specialises on yarns that are on the more economical side! Stockists include Hayfield, Sirdar, Patons, King Cole, James Brett, Wendy all soon to be joined by Cygnet so there is a great selection of wools.

Janet is the owner Janet and her talented customers recently installed a display on the towns clock tower - see pics for details. The shop is the epicentre of the crafting community in Reddish.

Excitingly a local childrens author has a new book coming out at the end of this month, Daisy the Pantomime Cow, where daisy was discovered in the cellar of the church and brough to Knit2 tog for esential repairs! Proper Repair Shop vibes! I cant wait to see it.

If you wish to visit Reddish Vale it is an area of beautiful countryside with river walks and picnic areas. There is also Reddish Vale Farm an open farm where you can feed animals from tiny guinea pigs up to shire horses.

Reddish is located just 5 miles south of Manchester and all that entails. Janet highly recommends Manchester Art Gallery has she used to work there prior to opening Knit2tog. The gallery really recognises knitting and crochet as an art form

I’m missing the green countryside. Everywhere is brown just varying shades of brown or black as there has been so many local fires.

I’m lucky as I am surrounded by colour all day long. So I thought I’d share some green so you can have a change from the brown.

This is not all the greens that I have in stock and I have green in all thicknesses from 4ply to jumbo chunky.

Anyway I’m waffling say hello to some green 😁
