Remembering Peter Waite.
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Peter Waite, who died on 16th August 2026, aged 88.
Peter holds a very special place in the history of Cawarden Reclaim, having been our first employee. He joined us at the very beginning, working at Cawarden when it was still a working farm and remained with the company until his retirement in 2006.
During his many years with us, Peter worked both in the woodworking shop and in the brickyard, where his son, Sam, continues to work today.
Peter was a true gentleman, always willing to lend a hand and help anyone who needed it. He was also passionate about wildlife and birds of prey, something that brought him great enjoyment throughout his life.
Peter was a valued part of the Cawarden family for many years and will be fondly remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him.
Peter's funeral will take place on Wednesday 9th September 2026 at 10:30am at Stafford Crematorium.
Our thoughts are with Sam and all of Peter's family and friends at this very sad time.
