I set up Paragon Creations in order to have an outlet for my hand crafted items. Everything I sell is made by my hand, one stitch, one ring, one bead at a time. It all started in 2014 when I finished my Open University degree and my daughter started school. All of a sudden I had free time - what a novelty that was! I taught myself to crochet and soon found that whilst I enjoyed making simple proje

cts, I REALLY enjoyed the more complex, challenging patterns. These can take months to make so I found myself trying out other crafts that I could do alongside crochet, that were completed more quickly. Over the years, I have turned my hand to many things but in 2019 I started making jewellery and I was hooked, so here we are. This is very much a hobby page - I have a full time job and a family so my usual process is to sell what I have already made, rather than make to order. That said, however, I am always happy to work with you if there is something specific you would like.

Today we welcomed a new member of the household. Meet Loki, Pinstripe Royal Python adopted from Cheshire Reptile Rescue. Currently tucked away in his hide getting used to all the new stuff 🐍🙂

Today I need to do housework. Any chainmailler will probably agree that the easiest way to find your dropped rings is to walk around barefoot 😆 However, the worst thing I've ever stood on barefoot is a set of metal curling tongs that I had accidentally left on for about 8 hours 😣 I was about 15 at the time but the experience of having to peel red hot metal off the sole of my foot is not one I've forgotten! 😳

My hiatus was longer than expected but I finally got back to making a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, it was short lived when I decided to test the theory of gravity and damaged both my hands and my left shoulder - not ideal for weaving metal 🙄 Happy to have healed enough to make some progress on this beauty last night! 🐉
