If you watched Manchester United during the final years of Sir Alex Ferguson's reign, Darron Gibson will probably bring back a few memories.

You watched him sharing a midfield with some huge names, starting at Wembley, playing on Champions League nights and occasionally producing the sort of long-range strike that could change a match in seconds.

His goal against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford remains one of the standout examples. Then came Everton, where Gibson became an important midfield presence before injuries increasingly interrupted his career.

He also represented the Republic of Ireland 27 times and travelled to UEFA Euro 2012.

Do you remember watching Darron Gibson for United, Everton or Ireland — and which moment stands out most?

If you watched Manchester United during the Sir Alex Ferguson years, you probably remember the excitement whenever another academy player was handed a first-team opportunity.

Phil Marsh got his in October 2006, starting alongside Alan Smith against Crewe Alexandra in the League Cup.

His story didn't end at Old Trafford. Your team might have encountered him later at FC United, Stalybridge Celtic, Forest Green, Hereford, Guiseley or one of the many other clubs that became part of his journey.

For Stalybridge supporters in particular, there are plenty of memories — including a season as leading scorer and a remarkable run of goals.

Do you remember watching Phil Marsh play, and which club do you associate him with most?

Every autograph tells a story. This is Philip Marsh's.
