Higham Ferrers Riverside Angling Club

🚧 Important information for visitors to The Wharf and Riverside Park... Higham Ferrers Riverside Angling Association will be carrying out an important work party at The Wharf this Friday, Saturday and Sunday 🎣🌳

During the works, some areas will be temporarily closed whilst the paths on the island are topped up, helping to address erosion caused by last winter’s weather and protecting them for future use. Residents and visitors are asked to take care when visiting the area and to follow any signage or temporary closures in place.

Just a quick reminder that we’ll be closed on Monday 31st August for the Bank Holiday.

Hi everyone, 🐟🎣🐟🎣
Some of you may already know that earlier this year we purchased the old Post Office at 10 High Street Irthlingborough. We’ll be relocating our tackle shop Valley Angling there at the end of this year.
We’re currently renovating and restoring the building and, wherever possible, we're using local tradespeople to help with the work.
We're now looking for someone to paint the gable end wall overlooking Parsons Green. If you can recommend a local decorator, or if you’re a local decorator yourself, please get in touch for a quote.
Please note: Public liability insurance is essential, as the wall borders council/public land.

🎣 The River Season Opens Tomorrow! 🎣
The wait is almost over!

Tomorrow marks the start of the new river fishing season, and we know many anglers will be eager to get back on the banks before sunrise.
Whether you're targeting chub, barbel, roach, perch, or simply enjoying the peace and beauty of a summer morning by the water, we wish everyone a fantastic opening day.

Before you head out, make sure you're fully prepared with fresh bait, tackle, terminal gear, and any last-minute essentials. Our shop is stocked and ready to help get you set up for a successful start to the season.
Please remember to fish responsibly, respect fellow anglers, and take care of our rivers and wildlife.
