This is incredibly delicate work that requires deft handling whilst “sticking” the individual pieces onto the body of the figure.
Our Dad used to say that clay has a memory so if you don’t follow the exact process or manhandle the figure while you’re adding each piece, it will all show up after the final firing. Even if it looks like you’ve been forgiven after the first firing to the stage it may yet emerge when you’ve done all the painting and fired it again 😕 Any tension whether from throwing or is part of the piece - for good or ill!
