From 10 am every day until 5pm. We shall stay open later if it continues to be busy beyond 5pm.

Celebrate World Book Day With Us.

At Halcyon Days, we stock all things retro, vintage, and collectable, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere as you explore our two floors of hidden treasures. From our very first day, we’ve been passionate about offering book sets and children’s classics, like Winnie the Pooh, Paddington, Beatrix Potter, Brambly Hedge, Harry Potter, Enid Blyton, and many more.

This World Book Day, we invite you to visit us and rediscover the magic of books. Reading is one of the greatest gifts we can give children, shaping brighter and more joyful futures. Yet, only one in three children says they enjoy reading, and many grown-ups struggle to find the time to relax with a good book. We get a lot of joy from watching customers browse our books and delight in their memories, or in the memories they will create as they read to their younger generation.

Do pop in and explore our inspiring selection. Our Beatrix Potter books start at just £3 each. Rekindle cherished childhood memories or create new ones with your little ones as you share the wonder of stories together.

We’re open every day from 10am to 5pm.

We are open and ready to welcome you. We had a new delivery just 45 mins ago of double pack Ascended Heroes Erika and Larry pokemon.

As well as some single packs of Journey Together, Surging Sparks, and Destined Rivals. We have a few other pokemon packs ranges left over from the event.

We also have a new space downstairs of products by the lovely 🥰 and a new lady who has put a stunning stall together of vintage enamels, garden tools, and kantha throws. So plenty to look at. ☺️

We are open til 5pm so pop in if your passing through.

We are also open Sundays from 10.30 am. And every other day in the week. 7 days of potential treaure hunting.

Can we take a moment for some serious cake appreciation. Everyone made sure to grab their Pokémon cupcakes this evening and we can see why. These are SOOO Delicious. We ordered extras to test 😋

A big thank you to GoodyKitchen who always goes over and above, and creates cakes and bakes that taste as gorgeous as they look. Simply divine.

We had an amazing evening tonight at our first ever Pokémon party. ❤️ Every single ticket holder turned up and we are so thankful to you all. ❤️

Especially our lovely guests in Pokémon cosplay CosplayCoop making it that little bit more special. Thank you.

We do have a few card items left in stock which we will bring to the store tomorrow for anyone who wasnt able to get tickets to the event.

We hope to do more in future and even potentially secure another venue in Rye where we can be a Playstore for more events like this evening and organised Pokémon play. We shall post with more updates in the future.

But a big thanks from Team Halcyon tonight. We are now tucking back into our Pokeballs for a bit of rest. 😉

Tomorrow’s the big day—our exciting Pokémon event is here at Halcyon! If you're a ticket holder, get ready for cards, plushies, limited exclusives, graded cards and most of all, fun! Here’s everything you need to know:

*Entry is for ticket holders only; if you haven't booked a ticket, you will be refused entry at this event.

Arrive at our Cinque Ports Street, Halcyon Days, TN31 7AN Rye (not the Strand location, as it will be closed). Event start time is at 5:30 PM and ends at 6:30 PM. (Please note: If you arrive before 5:30 PM, you’ll need to wait for the shop to reopen. We’ll hand out cards in the order of arrival to ensure fair entry.)

Cakes and drinks will be supplied upon entry, and we shall notify everyone upon entry what card ranges are available and which ranges are one per person to ensure fair allocation to all attendees.

💔 A quick note: We’ve received disappointing news from Pokémon that the goodie bags and promos haven’t been dispatched on time. We’ve been informed (along with most nominated stores) at 4:50 PM today about this delay. This is not an issue on our end, and unlike some stores, we’re not cancelling! We’ve taken down all ticket holders’ numbers, and as soon as the bags arrive (expected early next week), we’ll set them aside for you and call to let you know when you can collect them in-store at your convenience. Rest assured, you WILL get your goodie bag, just not at tomorrow’s event. We’re truly sorry for this inconvenience.

This does not impact the giveaway in the raffle of x2 Pikachu at the Natural History Museum promo cards up for grabs.
