We honestly couldn’t stop laughing when a customer told us this 😂

Before ordering her new carpet, she took a sample home and tested it with everything she could think of.

🍷 Wine.
🍅 Ketchup.
🐶 Even dog wee.

Extreme? Maybe.

But if you’ve got children or pets, wanting to know how your flooring will cope isn’t a bad idea at all!

A staircase transformation we’re really proud of 👏

👈 Swipe to see it go from bare stairs to the finished result.

For this project we installed:
▫️ Alternative Flooring - Iconic Fine Herringbone
▫️ Colour: Coburn
▫️ Finished with Midnight basketweave binding by Ace Carpet Edging
▫️ Black stair rods with Lancaster finials to finish it off.

Most importantly… the customers were absolutely chuffed with the finished look 😊

Meet the newest and longest-serving members of our fitting team…

👈 On the left is Alfie, one of the newest members of our fitting team.

👉 On the right is Jason, who joined B&R at just 16 years old. Our dad taught him how to fit carpets, just as my dad had been taught himself.

More than 40 years later, Jason is still one of our quickest fitters, an incredible problem solver and someone customers can rely on to get the job done properly.

Now he’s helping Alfie learn the trade the right way.

From understanding different carpets to mastering the little details that make a great installation, it’s knowledge that can only really be passed on through experience.

We think that’s something worth holding on to 🙌

One of the easiest mistakes to make is assuming you already know what size bed you need 🛏️

Sometimes going bigger is the right choice.
Sometimes it isn’t.

It all depends on your room, your lifestyle and who’s sleeping in it.

It’s a decision you’ll live with every day, so it’s worth getting right.
