Yesterday I met with the wonderful Jane from Trash Chic, who donated the most FAB-U-LOUS suits to Project Prom. These suits were passed to her by none other than Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood, who agreed that they could be donated to the project 🤩 Our first celebrity donation!
Jane and I spoke about the Project, and talked about the ever increasing demand for slow fashion. Janes boutique is full of wonderful pre-loved items (I had my eye on a couple of the beautiful sequin kaftans in the background 😍) She also has a pop up shop at the Grand Arcade in Cambridge next week- (give her page a follow for more info) She is also a fan of our friends over at This is Neon Leo🥰
Thank you so much for your donation Jane, we cant wait to see the suits hit the ballroom once again! 🪩🕺💃

Today I met with Jennie Brown of Project Prom. This is a scheme that provides free preloved outfits to year 11 students in Uttlesford whose families are struggling with the cost of living.
Project Prom works with secondary schools in the area to identify students who may need help and allows them the opportunity to ‘go to the ball’ in style. Once the clothes have been sourced, students are invited to a pop-up boutique where they can try on and choose their preloved outfit.
My ex-husband, Craig Revel Horwood, one of the Strictly Come Dancing judges recently gave me several colourful suits that he no longer wears. Rather than selling via Trash Chic, I thought they would be perfect for any young man wanting to cut a dash at the Prom.
Jennie told me that it’s important to have quite a lot of dresses and suits available in a wide range of sizes. Some of the clothes are re-donated back to Project Prom but there’s always a need for more to give the students as much choice as possible.
Evening dresses and suits are often only worn on a handful of occasions and, in some cases, just once. So, if you have anything you can donate, please get in touch with Jennie.
I’m looking forward to seeing photos of the students wearing Craig’s lovely suits.
