Let’s talk Mackerel 🐟
We have had a lot of you coming in and asking about Mackerel and the decision from to stop selling it.
Will we still sell Mackerel? YES (when in season)
We don’t use sustainability as a headline,it is always at the front of what we do and has been since we opened.
We source all our mackerel from small in shore boats that use traditional hook and line methods, theses fishermen are already under threat from the large super trawlers that the supermarkets buy fish from and that catch HUNDREDS of tons of Mackerel in one go, putting huge pressure on the stocks.
Mackerel is still one of the best fish to eat for health and for value. 🐟
