Nice Telecaster ( '52 Nocaster ?) in for a full setup, including fret level and fitting of some saddles.

Background audio suggests this is brought to you by my band's ( ) set list for an upcoming gig and snippets of very humerus video on Klon Klone comparisons, nice work as ever lads πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ˜‚
Actually, , this Tele is probably up your street?

' *sequence shortened! '
Today's Gibson Les Paul refret, seemingly brought to you by the Goo Goo Dolls...πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ (I tend to revisit an album and leave it on repeat for...a while..!)
Obviously this is lots of work, condensed into something more Insta friendly. Completely forgot to get the fret cutting and tang removal, but you get the idea.

Lovely Ibanez JSM100 was brought in as the customer felt it wasn't playing as well as it should - buzzes here and there, sitar sounds and lack of sustain on some notes.
A thorough check over showed some fret wear here and there but strangely, some frets that were quite high, causing lots of issues. After checking that they were all seated properly (they were), I went ahead and did a full fret level and re crown. I also dressed the nut slots and saddles for the 12-52 strings which sorted the sitar noises and now everything is playing beautifully.
Nothing like releasing a guitar's full potential. 😎

More affordable guitars can also benefit hugely from a decent setup. This LA Series from Gear4Music had a couple of issues that needed sorting, but we opted to go for a full service to have it playing and sounding its best. Really comfortable to play now and the Wilkinson M Series pickups are seriously impressive for the money.

What actually goes into the recommission of a guitar that's been sat a long time? Possibly a lot more than you think, it's not a half an hour job and can involve doing a job a few times, such as on this one with the frets and fingerboard requiring multiple different treatments.
Great Les Paul at the end of it though, from my favoured era - early 2000's.

Loved working on this Martin D28 that needed quite a bit of resurrection work!
If you've got something similar that needs attention, hit me up. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Here's another one that needed some fairly extensive work.
This Hohner Professional ST Victory is one of my own that I've had for many many years. It had a break along the scarf joint which had been repaired before it came to me. To be fair, the fix is solid, but not overly pretty and possibly as a result of all this the neck has always had a slight twist, as you can see in pic 2.
I had some Hosco frets left over from a recent job and decided to attack this, once and for all.
Pic 4 shows the frets out, Pic 5 is cross hatched ready for sanding. Pic 6 shows the somewhat interesting lay of the land regards the fretboard! I decided to re radius the fretboard while I was there, from a 17-20" ish ?! to 12" consistent. I was able to sand the twist out, get everything nice and level and after the re fret and set up, it plays absolutely beautifully and will probably go back into rotation, having had a good few years off. πŸ˜‚

Here's something you don't see every day...
This incredible Goulding aluminium guitar had been sat for quite a while and needed recommissioning before selling.
It needed a lot of work aside from cleaning, such a new nut from scratch and a fret level.
Very cool, very different.

This absolute songbird of a Martin D28 has been on the bench a little while, having needed a full recommission and a few repairs etc. Truly one of the nicest sounding acoustics I've played. 40+ years old, plenty of play wear, bags of character.
