Korean-made Layke Smoothie slimline centreblock archtop, in the cool Lavender purple gloss finish, with black hardware and 3 factory dogear P90 pickups.
Upgraded from stock with an Ibanez style bridge and a trapeze tailpiece (the original wraparound bridges on these guitars are known for overly tilting forwards) plus a 5-ply ES pickguard and a set of speed k***s for that Gibson look.
3 individual volume controls - one for each pickup - and a master tone control. Cool 😎
In generally very good condition throughout, with some ‘knot staining’ showing though underneath the finish on the back of the body, as shown.
A fairly rare and unique guitar, designed by the Fret Workshop team in Suffolk, UK.

Original late 1970s Maya Japan Les Paul Custom in black with gold hardware.
This example is one of the high-end ‘proper’ MIJ set-necks from the height of the so-called Lawsuit Era.
The only change is that the original small-bodied pots and caps (included) have been replaced with full-size CTS pots and orange drop caps for improved tone.
In really very good vintage condition, with a their usual tarnishing / plating loss to the contact areas of the gold plated hardware and some light play wear etc.
Complete with a later fitted hardware case with gold hardware.

MIJ Jackson Warrior WRMG in gloss black with black hardware and factory active EMG pickups.
In excellent, barely used condition with a couple of tiny touched-in marks on the lower points, as shown.
Complete with its original oversized fitted Jackson model-specific hard shell case.

2023 Squier New Affinity Stratocaster in Olympic White with maple neck, CBS era large headstock and standard nut width.
Customised with an aftermarket set of Alnico V pickups (which sound a lot better than ceramics!) and with a 1970s Richie Blackmore vibe, with the black accessory kit and an aged white 3-ply pickguard and trem cover. There’s also a Fender USA style modern string tree.
In very good condition, with some finish hairlines by the jack plate, as shown.

Custom-assembled Stratocaster, based on a 2009 Indonesian-made Squier Affinity neck with a slim 40.5mm nut and a lovely dark rosewood ‘board, mated to a later Squier Affinity body in Arctic White.
The guitar has good quality Wilkinson brand hardware, including Ez-Lok machine heads and a tremolo bridge with full-thickness but slim-depth block to suit the slimmer body. A matched set of Alnico V single coil pickups and good quality components are wired up with vintage cloth push-back cables.
This guitar was put together as a ‘better than stock’ instrument for a younger player (or anyone with smaller hands) and it plays and sounds great.
In very good condition throughout.

Early 1990s Korean-made Hohner Rockwood Pro RP250 Les Paul in ebony finish with rosewood fingerboard.
Cosmetically enhanced with some period Epiphone aged cream pickup rings and switch tip, plus a new chrome output jack plate and a new nut.
In generally very good vintage condition throughout.
A great guitar for not a lot of money!

MIJ Kiso Suzuki 9510 ‘Guild M20’ style folk / auditorium sized acoustic guitar.
Made in Japan in the 1970s during the height of the ‘American Facsimile’ era…!
In very good vintage condition throughout, with a few small marks and scratches from normal use over the years.
Complete with a vintage leather strap and period-correct folk-size hard shell case.

The latest ‘Ace Beater’:
A relic-style Sonic Blue Stratocaster with a black sparkle lacquer finish neck (that was apparently made in Cornwall by a now long-retired luthier) and two-tone chrome/black hardware for a unique look 🙂
Fitted with a parchment white pickguard with a set of MusicMan Sterling humbucker pickups, with their original 5-way switching and master volume control, plus a momentary killswitch for real tonal versatility.
In good gigged condition, with some relic-type wear and checking to the neck’s lacquered finish, plus the usual buckle rash marks and scratches etc, as shown.

1990 Squier Japan N-Serial Stratocaster in black with a maple neck and chrome hardware.
These early 90s guitars were the last of the regular Squier models to be made in Fujigen Japan, before all production fully moved to Korea in the mid 90s.
In very good vintage condition with some play wear / finish flaking to the fingerboard and a couple of small edge dings, as shown.
These are lovely quality guitars!

Custom-assembled Telecaster, with a late 1990s Squier Korea neck and a burl walnut veneered ‘half-guard’ bound body of unknown origin.
Fitted with new chrome hardware and alnico V single coil pickups - a Strat style at the neck and a Tele style at the bridge.
In very good vintage condition with some normal aging and signs of use etc, including a ‘halo’ from the original body the neck was fitted to :)
A real one-off build!
