Our St Helens AA Pike Open Day is taking place on Saturday 26th September.11am- 1.45pm

We’ll be providing 4 short Pike angling & education workshops, covering key aspects of Pike fishing and fish care.

We’ll also be launching our Pike Autumn Series!

All the information you need on how to take part in the Autumn Series will be shared at the Open Day.

No need to bring any tackle – just bring yourselves!

- 11:00am start
- Please make sure you arrive before 11am so we can get everyone organised and ready to begin.

5-24,60-91,146-160
Draw at 9am boat house
Pools will be £50 per team
£40 will be used to provide the prize money for sections and top 3pairs depending on attendance.
£10 will be used to pay out individual placements
The match is to be run on Total Weight.

There appear to be a number of “key board warriors”around recently suggesting that St hHelens AA have not interest in the canal and don’t care about the rubbish.
I would like to put things straight by showing a number of pictures taken recently by our bailiffs on the water. As you can see the bailiffs are doing a fantastic job trying to keep on top of the low life that continually drop litter along their route.

So please do t be calling the lads they are unpaid and are doing a fantastic job with a little help from others within the community.

Notice to members for the following matches
Sunday 6th September members match will be run my David Rigby who will put up a post up nearer the day this is a normal members match.

Sunday 13th September Platty’s Charity match again will be run by David Rigby

Sunday 20th September there will be no match on the dam as there is a Carp Charity match.

The pairs match is now being held on 27th September which John Turnock will be running.

The St Helens AA Pike Community are pleased to announce our Pike Open Day, taking place on:

Saturday 26th September
11:00am – 1:45pm
The Dam Bar & Grill (Boathouse), Carr Mill Dam
Please arrive before 11am

The Open Day will launch our Autumn Pike Series and provide an informal opportunity to learn more about pike fishing, including:

* Pike handling and safe unhooking
* Pike care and fish welfare
* Basic tackle and equipment
* Setting up your pike fishing gear
* Advice on getting started with pike angling

Whether you’re an experienced pike angler, completely new to pike fishing, or simply have an interest in the sport, everyone is welcome.

Experienced anglers from the Pike Community will be on hand to answer questions, demonstrate basic setups and equipment, and offer advice to anyone wanting to get started.

Following the Pike Open Day, the St Helens AA Pike Autumn Series will commence and take place over 3 dates.

🎣 3rd October 8am – 4pm
🎣 14th November 8am – 4pm
🎣 5th December 8am – 4pm

You will need to fish at least 2 of the 3 dates to be eligible for prizes, and all anglers are welcome to join in. Equipment and guidance can be arranged if needed.
