Hi Guys, it is with great regret that we at the doghouse have decided to close our doors permanently. We have tried for 8 years, but struggled recently, firstly with the plandemic, but most recently, trying to compete with corner shops selling their cheetham hill vapes and illegal cigs. We have only ever sold TPD compliant products, which unfortunately, come at a premium and we just cannot compete with our law breaking neighbours!
Merseyside Police have been a waste of space, they have raided them on multiple occasions but with absolutey no ramifications, they are back open same day, fully stocked and free to undercut us with their illegal products.
Helens Borough Council and trading standards (can't tag them) have been less than useless. They are fully aware of these illegal shops and do absolutely nothing to stop them!
Couple that with the council allowing the building site to take control of the carpark for best part of 2 years (after telling us it would be closed for a few weeks), has made it all but impossible for anyone to even consider shopping down the lane! I guess as long as they get their rates, (or brown envelopes) who cares!
Anyway, sorry for the rant and as of next week we will be selling everything half price. Come and grab a bargain, everything must go including some fixtures and fittings.
Sorry guys but dont bother asking us to hold anything, it will be strictly who turns up with cash gets what they want, no exceptions.
