We recently brought to life a small collection of garments we’ve been working on for a long time.

Based around ideas of circularity + a fascination with natural dyes, the collection consists of 5 pieces designed for everyday utility.

They are made from natural fibres, and dyed naturally with Indigo plants. It means each piece will develop a unique patina overtime & the aftercare is a little bit like looking after a tamagotchi, but we have lived in these garments for a few months and think they are perfect in the subtle imperfections.

It’s nice to look back and share some early visuals that were designed by

I was in my third year of university wondering how I could build on the ideas from my course around sustainable product design. I didn’t think anyone would pay me to grow mushrooms and as with most my projects they were great in theory but lacked in application, but the idea of a shop started to take shape + was brought together by bigger synchronicity’s, family events & a naive determination!

The Common Wanderer Intended to inspire Outdoor lifestyles through a curated mix of products that balance a responsible approach to design. Function, Form, and good ethics underpin the labels we carry & whilst these are all subjective to an extent, it has always kept us on a track as to why & how we trade and the labels we represent.

The name, came from browsing an Insect book years prior with ‘The Common Wanderer’ being a species of butterfly.
