🎅 A little Christmas has arrived at Buttons & Things Co!

Our Santa glass and metal buttons are back for the festive season. At 22mm, they’re a lovely size for Christmas cardigans, chunky knits, jackets and handmade festive projects.

Each one is hand assembled here in Cornwall and features a traditional Father Christmas design set beneath clear glass.

This is exactly why I love a really big button 🧡

These fabulous 60mm DILL buttons completely change the look of a coat.

I wanted to show them on orange because they don’t always need to contrast — matching a button closely to your fabric can work beautifully, especially when the button has plenty of texture of its own.

They’re a proper oversized 60mm and come as a set of 3, so perfect for a coat, jacket or chunky knitted cardigan.

Definitely one for anyone who likes their buttons to be part of the design 🧡

One of the things I love most about living and working in Cornwall is being surrounded by so much history. The old engine houses are such an iconic part of our coastline, and they've inspired our latest glass button.

Each button is hand assembled in our Cornish studio and features a traditional Cornish engine house beneath a smooth glass dome with a gold-coloured metal surround.

I can just imagine them on a cosy cardigan, a linen jacket or even a handmade bag. They're a lovely way to add a little piece of Cornwall to your knitting or sewing.

Swapping out plain plastic buttons for pearl, horn, or metal ones is one of the easiest ways to make a basic jacket or cardigan look designer-level. The cost is minimal, but the transformation is real.
