Poldark era portrait...

Meet Admiral William Hext, RN (1780-1866) of Lancarfe and Tredethy in the County of Cornwall. William Hext entered the Royal Navy in 1791, and as a young midshipman was present in Lord Howe's glorious victory of 1st June 1794.

Painted circa 1815.

Oil on canvas, framed, 20ins x 24ins.
