A lovely Baa Ram Ewe delivery today, including some new shades of Pip Colourwork, which gave me an excuse to reorganise the Pip shelf. Very satisfying 😊.

New local yarn in store from Small Flock Yarns. These gorgeous naturally coloured skeins have been grown, sheared and spun in Sussex, and they are really special! We have a limited number of each, as well as some kits (more on them soon). In store only at the moment, but well worth coming to see them in person!

I’ve been working my way through this Jacob fleece on my days off recently. Jacobs have beautiful brown and white markings and it’s been a slow process to sort the locks into their different colours then scour (wash) them. Luckily this lot dried really quickly in the sunshine yesterday, and I think I’m over halfway now! Next step is to card and spin the fleece, and finally knit it all up into a colourwork sweater (sample on the last slide).

We’ve got two publications from Laine on the front table this week. Their anniversary issue and Foundations by Sari Nordlund were both published this week and are full of gorgeous knitting patterns. Come and have a browse - we’re here until 5pm today and 11-4 tomorrow
