*** SHOP ANNOUNCEMENT ***

We will be closed for a week from 2nd September to 9th September because we are moving house on the 7th!!! We will still be online only but I am making a move up to beautiful Cambridge. You will still be able to place orders, but they won’t be dispatched until we reopen on the 10th. This should give us enough time to get reorganised and hopefully will cause minimal disruption to the shop.

I can’t wait to show you my new space 😍

I finally had a moment to sit down and update the Little Sew and Sew blog ✨ It’s been a busy few months juggling the shop, my behaviour course, teaching, rescue work, and my art studies; all alongside a few new projects I’m quietly building behind the scenes. Life has been full in the best and busiest ways, and I’m slowly finding my rhythm again.

Two new posts have gone up today; one sharing what’s been happening lately, and the other a simple guide to choosing fabric online. I’ve also been working on some eco‑friendly changes for the shop, and it feels good to finally share a bit of that journey.

Thank you for being patient while I balance everything, your support means more than you know 🌿🧵

There’s really nothing that makes me happier, than when you leave me a wonderful review 🥰. Being a small independent business with a team of one, with the occasional help from family getting your orders out on time, I really appreciate getting positive feedback so that I know I’m doing things right.

Although I’d love to hear feedback on what I can do to improve also or what you wish I’d stock? Anything you run out of frequent and that you are always needing to stock up on, that I don’t sell? Let me know on the comments. I’m the mean time I’m off to make a hot chocolate. It’s a daily ritual that I do to reward myself after some hard work 😅. It’s the little things that get you through. What is your daily ritual or treat to yourself?

So it’s that time of year again! Boy didn’t that go quick! What with running and working on multiple businesses, doing a degree and now house hunting, it’s been quite a wild year so far! I don’t know about you, but I look forward to the rainy days of winter, where I can hide away and work on my next creative project! It feels a little more acceptable to be a recluse when the weather is lashing a storm over the house.

Anyway! Enough of my jibbering, I am here to let you know that my Christmas shop has now gone live on my website. You can find Christmas pattern fabric, Christmas decoration kits and some lovely gifts for that special someone (if they deserve it 🤫). I regret to admit that I don’t sell coal, but I can direct you to our worst sellers if that is your preference 😆

As much as I adore summer, I do really look forward to the spooky season. The knitted jumpers, cosy socks, hot chocolate and evenings in front of the fireplace reading a book 📖 or knitting 🧶. But before we hibernate for the winter, here are a couple of things happening in our local community that you may like to attend! Both are based in Bexhill-on-Sea. So be you local or coming for a day visit or two! Do come on down to the Animal Sanctuary or for a fun-filled sewing lesson. Or why not both!

1) Susan’s House: A Halloween themed sewing class to get you in the autumn mood and have a bit of fun, meet fellow sewing enthusiasts and learn something new.

2) The last day of being open to the public for the year at Barby Keel Animal Sanctuary. There will be food and drink avaliable at the vegan cafe. You can bring your well behaved pooch along with you. Fancy dress is optional (but perhaps you could wear your creation from your sewing lesson!) I (dog obsessed Ashley) will be there, as usual working the doggy rehoming stand with some Halloween themed fun, so be sure to bring your fur babies to our stand and say hello! 🐶
