Don’t be that person… I can’t stress it enough LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME IN THE COOL AND SHADE.

Yesterday saw a puppy come into and collapse on the floor, a paddle shaped bright red tongue.. 8 mths old and been walked miles. Luckily we have a slipway and a hose so I was able to get the puppy out and hosed it off for over 15 mins whilst berating the owners… I will ALWAYS advocate for the dog and I do not care if I hurt your feelings or offend you.

They were lucky I was able to do what I did, I dread to think the outcome, well I know it, the dog would’ve died. Simple as that. When I strongly advised they take the pup home, keep a close eye on it, not to walk it and keep out the sun etc I was asked if going to the pub and sitting in the shade would be ok. I’ll let you ponder as to my feelings on that comment.

You’ve been warned! 🚨
