🎣 MORE BIG NEWS – WE’RE COMING TO ILFRACOMBE! 🎣

We’re so excited to announce another new Devon Young Fishers location… Ilfracombe! 🚤🐟

A huge thank you to Osprey Charters and Blue Fin Charters for supporting us as we launch our very first Introduction to Fishing Course in Ilfracombe, running throughout May – July.

If you’re aged 11+ and want to learn about sea fishing, safety at sea, baits, knots, casting, fishing techniques and more, this is the perfect place to start!

Whether you’re completely new to fishing or just keen to learn more, we’d love to welcome you to the Devon Young Fishers community.

As always, please don’t let cost be a barrier — we have fully funded and partially funded places available to help young people get involved 🐟

Salcombe Devon Young Fishers is launching another Introduction to Fishing Course for young people wanting to get involved, learn new skills, make friends and get out on the water! 🐟

This is a 6-lesson course, but for this round we’ve combined sessions — meaning all lessons will be covered over just 3 dates:

📍 26th May 9-1
📍 27th May 9-1
📍 31st May 4-8

Whether you’ve never picked up a rod before or just want to learn more, everyone (aged 11+) is welcome!

Devon Young Fishers will be at Salcombe Crabfest this Sunday 🦀

We’ll be at Salcombe Young Person’s Centre from 12–3 — kettle on, tea and coffee ready ☕️

If you love fish and crab, you need fishermen & women to catch it… and that’s what we’re about — supporting and catching the next generation of fishers 🎣

Most of the local fishermen are out at sea, but a couple are hoping to pop by if they can...

No big agenda — just a cuppa, catch up and a friendly base for the afternoon.

🎉One year of catching the next generation of Devon fishers! 💙

What started as a dream mission has grown into something truly special — thanks to the young people who show up ready to learn, and the community that stands behind them.

🙏We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us this year — especially our community.
