THIS WEEK’S MINI HAS ARRIVED!

He’s small, he’s ridiculously cute, and he’s now earned his pride of place in his very own space alongside the rest of our growing Mini collection.

Every Monday, another Mini joins the family, and slowly but surely that shelf is getting bigger!

Fantastic birthday party today at Gift & Receive!

We welcomed six young people in for a very different kind of birthday party — getting hands-on and learning all about the world of 3D printing!

They got to see the printers working, learn a little about how everything comes together, and best of all, make a couple of their own 3D-printed keepsakes to take home with them.

Lots of creativity, plenty of fun, and something a little different from your usual birthday party!

We’re setting up for today’s 3D Printing Birthday Party!

The printers are ready, the laptops are out and the table is set — now we’re just waiting for today’s birthday crew to arrive!

They’ll be getting hands-on with 3D printing, learning how it all works, doing some designing and, of course, creating something they can take home with them.

We absolutely love being able to turn the shop into a little 3D printing party space.

Today’s 3D printing session was with a young lad called Ollie, who already has a Bambu Lab P1S at home and has started his 3D printing journey.

Today was all about taking that next step.

Ollie produced this fantastic personalised keyring and also designed his own football top. He then had a go with Tinkercad, learning how to move, position and combine different parts to start creating his own models from scratch.

He’s now got some new skills to take home and practise on his own printer.

Now it’s over to you, Ollie — keep designing, keep experimenting, and let’s see what you make next!

🎉 3D PRINTING BIRTHDAY PARTIES! 🎉

Looking for something a little different for your child’s birthday?

Our 3D Printing Birthday Parties give children the chance to get hands-on and see how 3D printing actually works!

During the session they’ll:

🖨️ Learn the basics of 3D printing
🎨 Design their own personalised two-colour name keyring
👀 Watch their creation come to life on the printer
🔑 Take their finished keyring home with them

Sessions last around an hour and are designed to be fun, creative and something a little different from your usual birthday party.

🎈 £30 per child for groups of 2 or more
🎈 Individual sessions are £40

Zones of Regulation Keyrings – £7.50 each

Coming from a background of working in SEN schools, I know how useful the Zones of Regulation can be when helping children communicate how they’re feeling.

We used to carry coloured pieces of paper that had been laminated and attached to our lanyards. When a child pulled on one to choose a colour, the laminated card would often rip and come straight off the lanyard.

These 3D-printed keyrings are a much sturdier alternative. They look better, they’re well made, and children can easily look through the colours and select the one that represents how they’re feeling—without having to pull or drag the whole lanyard around.

Mini Mondays: The Road to 100 Minis

Mini Mondays have officially begun at Gift & Receive, and we’ve set ourselves a challenge: we’re not stopping until we have 100 different minis on the shelf! Every Monday, a brand-new animal will join our growing Mini family. Each one will be given its own space on the shelf, ready to be collected, gifted, or simply admired. Since launching Mini Mondays, we’ve already introduced a colourful fish, a cockatoo and a walrus—and we’re currently printing and preparing next Monday’s animal as we speak....
