In celebration of Taste Salisbury (the city's favourite foodie fiesta taking place this month) we thought we would shout about the incredible culinary gems on Fisherton Street. Pictured here are some of the many options if you fancy indulging in something tasty!

Whether you're craving artisanal treats, indulgent desserts, a pint of craft beer or a delicious dinner out, it's fair to say that we are spoilt for choice in our corner of Salisbury.

This week’s takes us into an emporium of retro delights. Opened seven years ago, Fisherton Warehouse is the perfect place for those who love shopping for vintage, retro and antique finds.

With a huge shop space set over two floors, it’s easy to lose yourself amidst the eclectic range of items from local independent traders and craftspeople. You’ll find lots of furniture, records, books, toys and games, clothing, art, jewellery and more!

A little snapshot to show you the progress on the street - we think it's looking fantastic! The new road surface has made all the difference and it's all coming together nicely indeed. It's been a long journey but the end is in sight.

This week’s is on family-run and independent business . No.21 Fisherton Street has been occupied by an optometry business for over 100 years, Mark Jones took over the practice in 2005 and has modernised and extended it to create a beautiful and relaxing space to have your eyes and ears looked after. They stock a huge range of frames including some really snazzy customisable ones so you can set your own trends with the glasses you wear.

As well as standard eye tests, they have access to incredible eye care technology and offer advanced testing to look for conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. In addition to this, they also specialise in hearing care and ear wax removal.
