DINGHAMS FINAL CLOSING DOWN SALE

Dinghams Cookshop will close its Salisbury store in early February, following a final trading period and ongoing closing-down sale.

The much-loved independent cookshop, which has served the Salisbury community for more than 40 years, briefly reopened in late 2025 after a property sale fell through. The owners made the decision to give the business one last opportunity, encouraged by the warm response from local residents and loyal customers.

Despite a positive Christmas trading period, the figures were not sufficient to secure the long-term viability of the business.

“We want to thank everyone in Salisbury — not only for their support this Christmas, but for their loyalty, friendship and goodwill throughout all our years of trading,” added Sarah. “The community’s kindness and encouragement have meant the world to us.”

A closing-down sale is now underway and will continue until the shop’s final day of trading in early-February.

Dinghams Direct, the fireplace business will continue to stay open in Churchfields www.dinghamsdirect.co.uk

Dinghams, reopening in Salisbury in late October 2025
After eight months of closure, Dinghams is reopening its doors in Salisbury, bringing back much-loved favourites and introducing a fresh collection of items chosen simply because they bring joy.
The shop had been placed on the market earlier this year, but with the sale falling through, the team decided to bring the space back to life and reopen for Christmas. Customers will find many of the much-loved favourites — from Robert Welch knives and Elite tins to candles, decorations, and a wide range of mugs along with practical kitchenware and thoughtful gift ideas.
“We’re thrilled to be open again, even if only for the season, and we will take each day as it comes.” said Sarah Hardingham. “We’ve chosen things that bring us joy and hope they’ll do the same for our customers.”
The shop will reopen in a smaller format, focusing on a carefully curated selection. While the café won’t be returning, the emphasis will be on regularly refreshed stock and listening to customer requests.
Dinghams invites the community to rediscover the shop while it’s here — with shelves full of gifts, homeware, and festive spirit.
