6 Tips to get the best from your tea.

1. The quality of the water will affect the taste of your tea. Always use freshly drawn and boiled water (filtered if possible)

2. Don't use water that has been repeatedly boiled. This will reduce the oxygen content and make the tea taste flat and not bright like it should do.

3Measure your tea accurately and carefully to ensure you have consistency in your flavour. In most cases 1 rounded teaspoon per cup (but worth checking the packaging for the rare occasions this does not apply).

4. When allowing the tea to steep (brew) give it a chance for the flavours to be released. Start by follow the guide lines on the packet and increase if required.

5. Store tea in an airtight container away from moisture, strongly flavoured or perfumed items and light.

6. Finally the contentious one. (If you have milk) milk in first or last does slightly alter the taste of your tea, but on this one it really is just a matter of personal preference so go with what you like and don't let any one tell you otherwise.

Thank you to all of you that came to see us at the Royal William Food & Craft Fair on Sunday we really appreciate your visit. If you missed us we are out and about again this Saturday at the Liskeard Show, Merrymeet, PL14 3LE. There show is set out over 4 acres so there is plenty to see and do. All you would expect to see at a country show including livestock, funfair, parade of classic cars, vintage tractor show, the big sack race and of course over 140 trade stands and the Food & Drink Marquee where we can be found with our selection of 64 tea varieties. So why not come along for a great family day out.
