🌞🌑 ECLIPSE INCOMING! 🌑🌞

We're all about creativity here at S&S, so with the solar eclipse coming up we thought we'd share some creative ways you can watch it WITHOUT eclipse glasses! 👀

⚠️ First things first — NEVER look directly at the Sun during an eclipse without proper certified eclipse glasses. Sunglasses don't count either!

But you can still watch what happens without them...

🥄 Grab a colander and hold it over the ground — all those little holes act like tiny projectors and you'll see loads of little images of the eclipse!

📦 Make a pinhole projector using a piece of card. Make a tiny hole in one piece, let the sunlight shine through it and project the image onto another piece of card or the ground. Look at the projection — NOT through the hole!

🌳 Find a leafy tree! The tiny gaps between the leaves naturally work like hundreds of pinhole projectors, creating little eclipse shapes on the ground.

🖐️ You can even cross the fingers of both hands over each other to make lots of tiny gaps and project the eclipse onto the floor.

📸 And be careful with phones, cameras, binoculars and telescopes too — don't point optical equipment at the Sun unless it's fitted with the correct solar filter.

So basically... DON'T LOOK UP! 🤣

8 years of determination 😁

There’s been a garage, an industrial unit and S&S Towers in between, but it all started right there in the conservatory.

We definitely didn’t imagine this when we were surrounded by little pots of wax in the conservatory! 🤣

26 days until we open the doors! 🥳

What a journey. ❤️
