Moving from the US to the UK as an event planner has been… eye-opening (in the best way).

In the US, especially with babyshowers, the expectation is clear:
👉 High-energy games
👉 Multiple “moments” built into the experience

Think:
• “Don’t Say Baby” (competitive from the second guests arrive)
• Baby Bingo during gift opening
• Guess the Baby Food (equal parts funny and chaotic)

In the UK?
Events feel more:
✨ Conversation-led
✨ Experience-over-agenda

And the “games” look very different:
• Baby predictions (due date, name, weight)
• Advice cards for the parents-to-be
• Decorating babygrows (which double as keepsakes)

Less “what’s the next activity?”

Your headline band at May Fair 2026 is '80s Pirates', bringing a feel-good set packed with iconic 80s anthems and big singalong moments.

Join us on Longstone Park from 11am, with Livewire Youth Music opening the day. We've got live music throughout the afternoon before 80s Pirates take to the stage at 7pm with big 80s classics.

It’s free and it’s guaranteed to get you dancing. So gather your friends, warm up those vocal cords, and get ready for a full day of music and a fantastic evening at May Fair 2026. 🎶🕺🎶

Because when the music starts, Longstone Park is the place to be.
