Dodgy socks. Plain feet. Criminally boring outfits. forsocksake is cracking down. 🧦🚨

This is exactly the kind of action our wardrobes need.

A new specialist campaign will target “dodgy” plain socks suspected of draining all joy from Britain’s feet, including sad multipacks, grey office socks and those weird thin ones that fall down inside your shoes.

The National Sock Agency estimates around £1 billion worth of personality is lost every year to boring footwear.

That hurts quirky dressers, fuels dull fashion and drags down otherwise decent outfits.

Here in Redcar & Cleveland, we know how important bright, cheerful and slightly daft socks are. This crackdown is about backing proper colourful footwear, protecting ankles and going after the criminally plain socks hiding in drawers across the nation.

Boring socks have no place on our high streets.
