Knee Pain That Isn't Knee Pain
The Re**us Femoris is one of the muscles that can cause knee pain.
Naturally, when people experience knee pain, they often assume there's a problem with the knee itself, which may or may not be the case.
In this case, the pain is due to tightness in this muscle, causing pain in the knee because of compression that obstructs blood flow. The muscle then contracts, forming a tender spot or area of pain.
The tender spot is usually not noticeable without touching it; the pain isn't as pronounced as the pain in the knee itself
