Debatable on the happiness part, tbh. 🌿😌

Considered potted planting, built to hold its own in a considered space. Scroll through and judge for yourself.

Biodiversity Net Gain didn't just add a line to planning applications: it flipped the entire design process. 🌿

Landscape used to be what happened after the building was designed. Now, under BNG, the site's existing ecology is the starting point, architecture gets designed around it, not the other way round.

And not all green space counts equally: a pristine lawn barely registers on the Biodiversity Metric, while a wildflower meadow or native hedgerow scores high. That's pushing the industry toward living walls, green roofs, and rain gardens that do real ecological work, not just look good in the render.

The twist: designing for BNG's 30-year management plan means designing for maturity, not launch day. And the by-product of all this ecological accounting? Spaces that are genuinely better for the people in them too.

Steel columns, floor-to-ceiling glass — Flutter's London office (The Arbor building) didn't need subtle planting. 🌿

We went bold: Monsteras, Alocasias and Strelitzia set directly against the steelwork. Ctenanthe and Aglaonema 'Crimson Love' brought pink and red into the sunken garden — colours most offices wouldn't touch. Booth planting shaped the seating layout, while dense atrium planting doubled as acoustic softening.

Even the deadspace got planted — cabinet tops, desk ends, the kitchen. No corner skipped.

We're growing 🌿 And we're looking for two brilliant people to grow with us.

Oasis Plants is hiring an Account Manager and a Business Development Manager — two roles at the heart of where we're headed next.

🌱 Account Manager — you'll be the driving force behind a portfolio of relationships we've already built, keeping clients thrilled and spotting the next opportunity before anyone else does.

🌱 Business Development Manager — a full 360 sales role for someone who lives for the chase. New leads, new conversations, new deals — yours to build from the ground up.

Based at our Sandbach, Cheshire HQ, or based in London — either works.

Know someone who'd be perfect? Or is it you? Links to both roles are waiting in the comments 👇

Low light, big presence. 🌿 Restaurant planting for Grind, Manchester — trailing shelving at the bar, statement floor displays up to 1.8m, all chosen to thrive in moody, low-lit conditions without losing impact.

What do you plant beneath a chandelier this size? 🌿

Layered foliage, up to 150cm, scaled deliberately to match it. Reception planting that holds its own against serious architecture.

Quick one — we planted 1,261 trees this month. Here's the "why" behind that number.

🌱 Every plant, a tree — sell a live plant, plant a tree. That's the deal we've made through Tree-Nation, and it happens automatically with every order.
🌍 Real trees, real ground — These trees go into active reforestation projects in places like [Madagascar, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and others], helping restore land that's been lost to deforestation.
🤝 People benefit too — these projects create local jobs alongside the planting itself, so it's not just land getting greener, it's communities getting supported.

It's a small thing on our end that adds up fast on the ground. Watch our forest grow in real time: https://ow.ly/7Huz50ZLRVW

We asked the Oasis team one question. Chaos ensued, haha.
“What’s your favourite plant?”

Turns out this is basically impossible to answer in one word.
Watch the team try anyway 👀

6am flight, 3 intro sessions with Glasgow-based designers, and approximately 47 coffees later — safe to say it was a good day.

Highlights:
☕️ Meeting designers face-to-face > any Teams call (sorry Teams)
🌧️ Went back to check on an install from last year — roof terrace had other plans (thanks, Glasgow weather)
🦇 The whole city centre shut down for the new Batman shoot and I still didn’t see a single Wayne
🚆 4hrs 45 on the train home and somehow it flew by

This is what BD actually looks like — planes, trains, plants, and a lot of “hi, nice to meet you, let me show you what we do” 👋

Glasgow-based designer? Let’s grab that coffee ☕️
