Good Afternoon and Happy New Year!

Well, Christmas came and went fast again and now we're beginning 2026 already. New hopes and good intentions seem to come to mind at this time of year. With that in mind our Carousel shop has dusted itself down from last year and after a good tidy up from many kind helpers it's now looking refreshed and smart again ready to welcome you in for a cosy perusal.

My jewellery is looking quite orderly on this shelf amongst the many other lovely handmade goodies. From colourful knits, cute felt animals, nifty leather items, wonderful wooden home ware to arty cards, sumptuous handmade soaps, sparkly glass must haves, pretty pottery and of course, an array of gorgeous sparkly jewellery, there is plenty to choose from here.

If you get the chance to pop in, do say hello, there are lots of friendly faces helping to run the shop.

I will be updating my Folksy shop in due course with more new designs coming up.

Why not come along and have a pre Christmas 🎄 🎁 browse through my jewellery display at Carousel with hand picked sea glass and fine silver nature design necklaces, handmade macramé and kumihmo bracelets with charms and a selection of genuine gemstone earrings on sterling silver and vermeil gold hooks and studs. All nestled amongst the other wonderful designs by talented local crafters and artists from the Crewkerne area.

It has been a while since I last posted here and again there's been a lot going on to keep me on my toes. Having found a place to sell my jewellery and other items at The Skittle Alley in April it was sadly for only a few months as the pub closed in July and we had to vacate the premises, so I have had to go back to square one and find another outlet.

Sadly, my poor sister passed away in July just a few months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It has hit our family hard and we all miss her greatly.💔

Luckily I came across Carousel Arts and Crafts in Crewkerne, run by the lovely Christine, where I have been able to find another outlet for my creative designs. I volunteer with helping out at the shop one afternoon a week along with other makers and have been able to join a great network of like-minded creative people.

For anyone visiting Crewkerne I'd definitely recommond a visit to Carousel as it's full of all kinds of handmade delights from jewellery, knitwear, natural soaps, greeting cards, woodwork, glasswork, ceramics, artwork and cute ornaments abound. You can find us next to the hardware store at 29A Market St, Crewkerne TA18 7JU.🔍

2024 has certainly been an eventful year for us and moving to Somerset has been the most exciting and fulfilling event of our year.
With new adventures and plans for my work ahead in 2025 I'm really looking forward to what the new year will bring.

Three more sleeps to Christmas and the mad rush is on to buy everything ready for Christmas. We'll be collecting the turkey and pork tomorrow so we'll find out if it will all fit in our small fridge when we get home!🍗🍖 Let's hope it will. 🤞🤭
