Today’s the day that Top Drawer opens! I’ve been wanting to do this show for years and I finally decided to go for it. After lots of planning and the last 2 days setting up the stand with my dad, I’m finally as ready as I will ever be for my first ever trade show 🙌 (excuse the tired looking selfie it’s the only I got!)

I’ve been really quiet on here 🫣 it’s been a really busy week. If you didn’t know I also have a shop in Sandwich in Kent! And since Saturday evening I have been renovating the shop to incorporate my partners pet shop and to build a bigger counter area so that I can pack orders more efficiently.
It’s been crazy. On Saturday night I cleared one half of the shop into the other half and then spent 2 days with my dad taking down a scaffold wall, building storage shelving and the counter! Then the next two days with my mum painting and decorating with the aim of reopening yesterday so we didn’t go to long without takings. It’s been non stop but so worth it.
If you own a small business especially in a highstreet you will know how tough it is and by combining our shops and creating a better area to work on The Golden Altar it makes so much sense, saving us money as well as headaches 😅 and meaning now my lead times will be quicker and more time to create more exciting scents and ritual products 💕💕💕

As we drift into summer we get to move our rituals outside 🍃 🌞 and I personally (no surprise) am a big lover of burning incense in the garden 🪴 it also saves me from being ravaged by mosquitoes! When making the garden incense we worked on creating something clean burning and subtle, something to sit alongside the gorgeous aroma of flowers and plants rather than attempt to overpower them 🌸

In March we went on a birthday trip to Rye and stayed at 🍷 we did a Vineyard tour the highlight for me being the lambs which were running around the vineyard 🐑 and a lovely trip to Rye town to enjoy a Knoops and meet in person one of our lovely stockists Martin who runs a beautifully curated shop 🌸
