This little woolly character is called Fig Newton! He's from a book of animal/doll patterns by Simone Gooding. As you can see he comes with his own little boat equipped with oars and flag pole. A special little companion for someone who likes frogs and boats. Fig Newton has been carefully hand made out of pure new wool felt and is wrapped up in a cosy Shetland Wool cowl. His boat and hat have been finished off with some hand embroidered stars. Priced at £38.

Freddie Fox is looking for a forever home. He is made from 100% wool felt and has a jointed head made with a safety joint. Arms and legs are thread jointed so they move as well. Freddie is wearing a fetching Lopi jumper made from Alpaca wool so it is very soft and cosy. His jumper is removable. £25

Dolls made from a Simone Gooding pattern from 100% wool felt. Clothes made from cotton and shetland wool for Olga's shawl and Crumpets hat and scarf. Both are stuffed with stuffing made from recycled plastic bottles. Olga 28 cm, Crumpet 18 cm

After much encouragement I've finally got around to offering my handmade little toys for sale. I had my first ever stall yesterday which my daughter documented on Facebook (unknown to me) and I've been overwhelmed by the lovely comments from people. I love making things, all sorts of things, but especially for my grandbairns so I find myself with lots of lovely patterns from talented designers and I've even begun to 'invent' some of my own! I love using quality fabrics from natural fibres and taking time and care over what I make and I like to pay close attention to the little details that make a toy into something special. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do making them x
