The first full week of September is nearly complete and I have been working on lamps in my temporary workshop.

Starting with clean recycled bottles, mulberry fibre paper is gently placed, sealed and allowed to dry. I then take a 18gsm image on fibreless paper and blend it into the first paper. Numerous applications of a heavy duty varnish later, a little twist of twine added and the lamp is completed. Placed on a wooden LED USB base it becomes more than a light but a piece of stunning home decor.

Each image is chosen carefully, inspired by my love of nature, pagan, Wicca and mythical beings. Each lamp created with love.

Decoupage is my passion which I share with you through each piece I create.

Hello September!

The boys are back to school and college, it’s mizzling rain outside but I love September.

It feels like the start again after a long lazy summer (not so lazy with the events we’ve attended!!).

I love hearing the robin’s autumn song, the gentle change to softness of the sun.

We begin September’s events with a very local one in our village of Gamlingay. Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and new ones.
