After nearly 50 years in the booktrade, I guess I can claim to have 'been there'. Thanks to the ever-enterprising Tor, I now have the T-shirt!

After 33 years we are leaving Ipswich and returning to White House Farm where we started in 1975. Customers will be very welcome at most times but please let us know in advance. Our general second hand stock will mostly go to Crisp's on Saxmundham High Street with the surplus going to Geoff Walton's nearby book shop.
So Saxmundham has now become a necessary port of call for book collectors as well as afficianados of the Waitrose experience.

We also have a small selection from our Antiquarian and Suffolk at the Yoxford Antiques Centre. Visit www.yoxfordantiques.com.

We will be welcoming the Chinese New Year (of the Horse) on Jan. 31st this year, at no.3 Albion Street, Saxmundham, IP17 1BN (two doors from the railway station) which has been converted into a studio & gallery by my friend Arabella Crum Ewing who is kindly sharing the exhibition space with Claude Cox Books.

The opening month's exhibition (Friday, Jan.31st to Saturday, March 1st) features her Artist's Book 'De Avibus', a series of 24 etchings illustrating twelve mediaeval proverbs about bird-catching. I will be showing a miscellany of 20thC wood engravings together with a selection of Private Press & Illustrated books with wood engravings.

Open Friday 2-6pm, Saturday 10am-1pm, and at other times by appointment.
