We have some very sad news to share this week.

Jan, our head of animal care and co-founder, went over the rainbow bridge this week.

For those of you who were touched by her amazing love and warmth for every creature, who want to say something, this page is for you.

Please share your thoughts and memories on this page, too, as she touched so so many thousands of folk with her support.

The rescue continues with the amazing animal care team we have, all taught by Jan. 🕊️ 🐶 🐈‍⬛

The cake is a display cake in window of our local Imaginative Icing shop. They make vegan cakes and others to suit dietary requirements. Feeling hopeful!

A real iconic retro item was donated by one of our generous donors. A Sony WM-33 Personal Cassette Player. Made in Japan in the 1980s.

This black Walkman features a 3-band graphic equaliser, headphone jack, and belt drive mechanism for smooth cassette tape playback.

It is in new condition in opened packaging. Complete with headphones and belt clip, with original instructions and protective foam.

This has an easy peel Pickford’s Travel sticker, which has been left in situ.

On sale at £200, a great price for this, especially in this condition with the original packaging.

If you are into making and doing, get yourself down to our shop. We have a huge selection of craft materials, most of it is new. A sewing machine and overlocker will soon be available. They’ve just got to go through our safety checks, but if you are interested, please speak to a member of the team.

The shop always stocks a range of new acrylic knitting yarn. All at £1.95. A great choice of colours too.
