💎 WHY DO WE SOMETIMES REFUSE INDUSTRIAL PIERCINGS? 💎

We know it can be disappointing when you have your heart set on a particular piercing and we tell you that your anatomy isn’t suitable — but there’s a very good reason. 💗

Industrial piercings are very anatomy dependent. 👂

For a traditional industrial to heal successfully, you need two well-defined, raised ridges that line up correctly, with enough clearance for the straight bar to sit comfortably without pressing or rubbing against the flat of your ear.

If the ridges are too flat, the angles don’t align, or the centre of the ear is too raised, the bar can continually press into the skin. This constant pressure can lead to:

⚠️ Irritation and soreness
⚠️ Pressure bumps and blistering
⚠️ The jewellery digging into the skin
⚠️ Prolonged or unsuccessful healing
⚠️ Potential scarring

Industrial piercings can already be challenging to heal because two piercings are connected by one straight bar, so getting the anatomy and angles right from the beginning really matters.

💕 If we say no, we’re not being difficult — we’re putting your ear and its long-term health first.

Every ear is different, and not being suitable for an industrial doesn’t mean you can’t have an amazing ear piercing! We’re always happy to discuss alternative placements and jewellery options that work with your individual anatomy. ✨
