Happy Birthday to Sir Alan Ayckbourn from all the Shop at the SJT Makers

A huge happy birthday to our Director Emeritus, Sir Alan Ayckbourn! 🎉

It's another busy year ahead for Alan with the world premiere of his new play, The Trial of Romeo Oscar, a court-room drama exploring a question that artists have been pursuing for centuries - what makes us human?

We'll also be hosting a rehearsed reading of Alan's Welcome to the Family, part of our September fundraising weekend. Expect some familiar faces round the table!

Great to see the station clock tower again, marking time for locals and visitors since 1882 but also for SJT shop staff when our window was installed in 2018.
