A memory from 14 years ago. These photos were taken during a celebratory evening following my early beginners dressmaking courses. I loved the outfits everyone made for themselves. A special memory of Suzen in the red dress she made, who sadly is no longer with us. Her daughter now owns the dress.

When we sew our own clothes we imprint our own DNA into the very fibres of what we wear. Our clothes become more personal, we respect and value them more.

Still teaching, still helping people create their own favourite clothes.

on Saturday 23rd Sunday 24th & Monday 25th May 2026.

An advanced course with a focus on fitting to help you with next steps to making more complex patterns fit you well and begin making practical steps to designing your own dresses.

Toile (twahl)..... a practice version of a garment made to test and perfect fitting and design.
