Needed a rethread so thought a clean would be in order 🙈 oh the shame 😳 but I feel a little self righteous knowing it’s done ☑️ and I’m sure my machine will thank me for it.
A brush round using this paint brush, to get in every nook and then vacuum cleaner to clear it all up.
Note to self “clean after every project”

Another busy day at the village hall last Saturday, 11 happy sewists all creating, developing skills and learning from one another. All accompanied by warm welcomes, encouragement and growing friendships - what a lovely community the sewing world is. I am grateful to have this lovely group of people regularly in my world ❤️

A busy day for our first social sewing day of 2024 - our little group is growing and it is lovely to watch the enthusiasm, creativity and growing connections. Lots of inspiration, motivation, chatter and laughter. Plenty of tea/coffee drink and maybe a piece of cake or 2 was consumed.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable day ❤️ everyone is welcome no matter what your skill level. If you would like to come along and see what all the fuss is about our next Saturday at the village hall at Robin Hoods Bay is 17th February - 10am until 4pm. I had forgotten the complexities of working with stripes and checks. This beautiful brushed cotton from is a joy to work with. The warmest colours, softest touch and a nice even weave made pattern matching a little easier … at least I hope it did, let’s see how well I did when it’s all sewn together … I can’t tell you what I’m making as it’s a gift but I will post pics once it has been gifted
