The Key to Perfect Bedside Lighting 🌟

Without a dedicated lighting control system, starting and ending your day often relies on your bedside table lamp or wall light. It’s an essential layer of light to get right—and it all begins with the right light bulb choice. 💡

✨ For bedroom ceiling lights, we recommend light sources at around 3000K in colour. This provides an inviting yet practical light for general use, creating a well-lit and functional space.

🌄 However, bedside lamps are a different story. Used during those transitional moments at the beginning and end of the day, they benefit from a warmer glow to support your circadian rhythm—mimicking the gentle tones of sunrise and sunset. For a cozy yet practical solution (perfect for reading), we suggest bulbs in the 2700K range—or even warmer if you prefer a truly ambient atmosphere.

Take the Knuckle bedside table lamp pictured here. Its 2200K warm white light is ideal for creating a relaxing environment, helping you wake up gently or wind down with ease.

We’ve been a little quiet here lately as the Lightbox team has had a busy summer preparing some exciting updates. Here’s a quick recap before we dive in:

- Jack, our lighting designer, just returned from a visit to the Cotswolds, where he toured one of our premier light makers’ workshops to see in person how the new autumn designs are coming to life.

- We’ve been hard at work sourcing new products and finalizing designs for our autumn/winter collection, launching next week. Sneak peek attached! ✨

- The brand new design studio at 36 St Nicholas Street is nearing completion and we can’t wait to welcome you soon!
